The Swachhta Pakwada, a fortnight long program (1/09/2021 to 15/09/2021) launched by the Ministry of Education, Government of India has flagged off today. Nirmala Convent School, Siliguri celebrated Swachhta Shapat Day Virtually.

To support the great initiative of the government and to create awareness about the need of clean environment, Nirmala Convent School, Siliguri virtually observed Swachhata Awareness Day, the second day of the Swachhata Pakhwada 2021.
DAY 3

The third day of "A nationwide cleanliness initiative" taken by the Indian government was successfully conducted following points were discussed during the program: 1.Cleanliness of Iconic tourist sites.
2.Clean society and safe society. 3.Importance of the three R's(reduce ,reuse and recycle).
4.Simple waste management.
5.Vaccination Drive.

The main purpose of today's programme was to educate the students about conservation of water and empower them to protect the natural resources of water, also encourage them towards judicious use of water at home and school.

Personal hygiene day was celebrated on 9th and 10th day of Swachhata Pakhwada 2021. Information about importance and benefits of personal and oral hygiene, simple habits of personal cleanliness.

On these days of the event a wide range of activities were carried out virtually.
Display of useful articles prepared out of waste
Talk show and debate session on their experience about Swachhata Pakhwada missions.
Interactive Quiz Sessions on vaccination, COVID protocols and cleanliness(how to prevent disease).
